Job Descrption: Job Overview: �TLC for Kids, Inc. Staffing Consultant/Placement director has a number of roles directly relating to the placement process and the success of the agency. The Placement Director handles long-term and short term placements nannies, babysitters, newborn caregivers, baby nurses, housekeepers, chefs, household managers and companion caregivers. The SC also sells the service to prospective clients through marketing, networking events and public relations. The SC further continues the sales process with inquiring clients from the initial inquiry call through the matchmaking and presentation of applicants, the final placement, and follows-up with families and nannies with advice and counsel throughout the employment term. The responsibility involves gathering and documenting information and disclosing information to families about nannies. The SC is a major player in a team who together keeps the business productive. ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQURED: - Excellent time management, task prioritization, and negotiation skills. - Ability to interpret and use data creatively to market caregivers to families and families to caregivers. - Ability to anticipate and understand caregiver and client objections and overcome them via appropriate communication and problem-solving skills. - The patience to recognize that all matches will require some problem solving and conflict resolution and the confidence to help all involved parties overcome issues, obstacles or objections. - Ability to work with and adapt to clients and nannies whose behavior and reactions can be unpredictable. - Able to use judgment to determine quality of fit yet remain non-judgmental of the desires, needs, requests, and personalities of clients or caregivers. -�Able to provide authoritative opinions and concise decision making regarding the qualifications and competency of applicants. -�Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -�Self-motivated, ability to work independently (someone who naturally enjoys working with minimal supervision). -�Excellent references from both current and previous employers. -�Bachelor's degree is preferred. -�Strong business acumen, professionalism, and personal integrity. -�Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, researching on the Internet, and working with an on-line database. - Experienced and comfortable working with computers (Mac & Windows). - Capable of and managing multiple �browser windows and tabs� to facilitate and record their activities, as well as basic office computing terminology. - Ability to maintain complete confidentiality regarding all aspects of the clients� (and applicants) personal information.
